The Refinery Christian Church was founded in 2009 by our Lead Pastor, Chad Goucher. The church was originally a campus of Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) from 2008-2009, however, in just a few short years, the church established a strong community presence which currently sees about 1000 attendees each weekend.

Six months after resuming in-person services, with easing COVID precautions, more and more people return to in-person services and new faces are present every weekend.

In-person services were suspended as the COVID19 Pandemic spread across the world. The Refinery ONLINE Experience emerged during this time and continues to be updated and enhanced to serve both the Refinery Community and those who are looking for answers from God in this challenging season.
First services held in the new building at 16721 W. Indian School Rd. Within the first few months in its new facility the Refinery Community more than doubled to nearly 1400 in attendance every weekend. To accommodate the growing church family, service times were added.
Groundbreaking ceremony and dedication of land.
Land was purchased at the southeast corner of Indian School Rd & Loop 303 to build our first permanent church facility.
Launch of the two-year capital campaign called the IN Initiative. Plans included building a permanent home along Loop 303, as well as a unique retail, dining, and entertainment complex anticipated to provide two hundred jobs to the community, allowing for our church to reach both the lost, and the found.
First Mission Team sent to the Dominican Republic.
Moved back to original location at 600 N. Bullard Ave. after months of renovations.
Name changed to The Refinery Christian Church.
After outgrowing its original location, the church began holding services at Millennium High School.
CCV Goodyear merged with Valley Fellowship and held services at an indoor bounce house facility called “Bounce U.”
First service held as the Goodyear campus of Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV), holding its first service at Goodyear Community Park with nearly 1000 in attendance.
